We had an amazing experience at Sahara Grill, Cranbrook Rd, Gants Hill, Ilford IG2 6HW, thanks to Nazrul’s exceptional hospitality and customer service. From the moment we booked our Iftar dinner, he ensured everything was seamless and well-organized. His warm and welcoming attitude made us feel truly valued as guests. Throughout the evening, he was attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience. We truly appreciate his dedication and professionalism. I called Sahara Grill to make an order and I specifically asked them to put the three orders I made in separate bags as 2 order was for another family and 1 was for me. After, I then went to collect my order and made the payment of £126.85 and they mixed the orders together so I went home with no iftar.

Our visit to Sahara Grill on 27th February was fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, who has been working there for over a decade—his experience and hospitality really set the tone for a great evening.
Our waiter, Nazrul Bhai, was equally exceptional, ensuring we had a wonderful experience. He even arranged additional portions of freshly cooked fried onions for all five of us—a thoughtful touch that added to the meal.
The food was outstanding! The BBQ beef burger was juicy and flavorful, and the mutton chops were tender and smoky. Every dish was cooked to perfection.
While the prices are slightly high, the quality of the food, the manager’s warm welcome, and waiters like Nazrul Bhai’s excellent service, make it worth it. If it were more budget-friendly, I’d visit more often!
Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

I ordered the Sauté Combo, and the portion was good. The meat was tender and tasty. You can choose between rice or fries, but I think both should be included—without them, the dish feels a bit dry. A pita bread on the side would make it even better. With extra rice, this meal is great for two adults and two kids to share.
The service was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I’ve also been to Sahara Grill Leyton, which felt a bit fancier. Ilford could improve on small things, but overall, it was a good experience.

We visited last night with family.
We ordered half chicken with rice and fries.
Chips portion was good so rice.
I found rice was very plain. They can make it bit flavourful. Rice was was not warm.

I am sorry to say but what’s the hype about this place ? I had a good burger over 10 years ago which was good I remember. But this time I visited with friends and ordered a sharing platter. The rice was good, the grilled chicken pieces were not freshly cooked, you can it from look and taste! The four wings were rock hard which clearly cooked at least few days back and refried again , out of four chops one was so tiny! Only good thing was some sort of chicken pieces with gravy sauce! No salad or sauce that comes with food! Like you get with other grill places. I would recommend everyone Nando’s or any Turkish grill restaurant other than this ! Not going back anymore!!! The only thing was fantastic is the service!!!

Me and my family of 4 just ate the Sahara original chicken steak and was so good. There portions are good sizes especially the fries and coleslaw. We were served by Nazrul today and he was very kind and attentive and very hospitable. We had a great time there. There Halloumi cheese with sweet and sour sauce was great not salty like other Halloumi cheese.

Nazrul is always extremely polite and helpful, and at your service he will make you feel very important and and is always polite and very professional he works extremely Hard and I wish he can always be recognised for his hard work and hospitality
